Ground ivy, also known as ground ivy, was considered a sacred plant of Thor. For the Germanic peoples, it was one of the sacred nine spring herbs. Its strong fragrance made it a "magical plant": it was said to impart clairvoyance.
Ground ivy promotes the elimination of lead from the body. Gunsmiths and painters traditionally used this plant for this purpose.
The plant contains a lot of vitamin C (antioxidant), tannins, bitter substances, saponins, flavonoids, essential oils, as well as minerals, especially potassium nitrate.
